Innovations

As a manufacturer of special machines, we engage in cross-industry research and development of new machines and production methods. In addition to the weaving sector projects presented here we are particularly active in the automobile and packaging sectors. At our production site, we develop and manufacture various handling devices for application in serial production processes of leading automobile manufacturers. Moreover, we construct and manufacture machine tools for general engineering, aiming at the conflation of manufacturing stages and simplification of the production process.

  • Lowerable inspection panel

  • The lowerable inspection panel benefits your production. It ensures faster weaving from loom to batch. Production costs are lowered and production is increased.

  • Bauch steering system for ascending batch winders

  • The Bauch steering system differs from customary controls: It is an extensible building set for different steering techniques. The steering system can be subsequently extended to any required programme level. Due to numeric input of parameters, the winding process is repeatable at any time. We even retrofit third-party machines to fit our innovative steering system.

  • Bias weaving method

  • Among others, we develop new production methods together with co-operation partners. In 2014, we finalized the project "Bias weave fabric" in co-operation with the spinning and weaving company "Spinnweberei Uhingen” in the weaving sector.

Here, the focused was on developing a weaving method that significantly increases elasticity and tearing strength of technical fabrics.

Having reached the target, a follow-up project emerged from this co-operation which attracted further partners and institutions. Sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, further manufacturing stages are to be included into the new weaving method.

The path towards industry 4.0 requires more than increased introduction of autonomous and interconnected systems. Moreover, it involves an ever-expanding degree of automation that increases requirements on the entire technical surroundings. Increasingly individual production in small lot sizes requires high flexibility on the entrepreneurs’ side.

We have risen to this challenge and developed a “modular fabric inspection machine”. This project was rated as highly innovative by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and promoted accordingly. The target of this project was to develop a fabric inspection machine that could be customised to various upstream and downstream processes as well as to different fabric characteristics (such as weight, material width, coating, etc.).

Having achieved this target, we succeeded in developing a flexible machine concept that enables subsequent retrofitting of BAUCH fabric inspection machines to any machine configuration. Many renowned producers already use this new technology to great success.
